Pat, I just visited with you at the Colorado State Pheasant shoot.  Thanks a lot for helping me through my doubles run with Mick. Hey I don't know if I told you how happy I am with the Female German Shorthair that I got from you.  We named her Kisha and OHHHH my goodness does she have a nose.  When she goes on point she locks solid.  I have had German Shorthairs in the past and I don't know what it is about her, but she is awesome.  Anyway, thanks a lot and it has been a pleasure doing business with you.  I hope we can keep in touch you're a great guy with a lot of knowledge about shorthairs.

Thanks,

Travis Messersmith

We picked Amber up in the summer of 2006 and we were immediately happy with her bird drive and super personality.  Pat said that she was a finished gundog and so we were really excited to try her out in the field. She already had great house manners and got along with our other dogs.  Her first trip with me was for dove season and to my surprise and the other hunters, retrieving dove was not a problem for Amber.  This can be tough for other dogs because of the feathers and lack of scent. She listens great in the field and I was even happier with her performance during pheasant season.  I love to watch her when the ground is a little wet she can really pick up the pheasant's scent and zigzag behind it until it flushes but she never gets too far in front.  Also, she never quits.

When she gets stickers in her paws she just bites them out and keeps on hunting.  Other than bein an amazing bird dog she is an awesome house companion.  She is really playful and loves to swim.  She also likes to sneak in bed and cuddle with my girlfriend. She will occasionally get into something left at nose level but Amber and our other lab have never grabbed anything off the counter which is amazing to us since we leave all sorts of food on the counters.  But you better believe if a hotdog ever falls on the floor amber is on top of it before it hits.  One last thing, my dad and uncles who have always believed in training a dog themselves were amazed at the performance of a dog purchased from a private breeder.  I have recommended Pat to many people that ask where I got my dog and when I have room for another hunting partner, I will be going back to Pat!

One extremely happy hunter,
